SARAH INTEMANN is an abstract artist living and working in NYC Metropolitan area. Art has been a passion of Sarah's since she was a child. Graduating college with a Fine Art degree, she moved to NYC and has been exhibiting and painting ever since. It is on the New York subways that she constantly sketched and developed a line-focused abstract language that she uses today in her work. Her work is a result of patterns and textures seen in the world around us. She draws her visual vocabulary from delineations in geoformations, caves, rocks, leaves, coral and aquatic life, and fluid shapes found in water and smoke. She has discovered that ink is the best medium to truly try and capture the beauty of these patterns and to investigate the evocative nature of line. These days Sarah generally works on completing a couple medium sized paintings a week, while simultaneously working on a series of large scale paintings she will be excited to show in the near future.
