Corona Painting

This large artwork represents the personalised Coronavirus attacking and terrorising the population. He is huge and terrifying, you can see all his organs as the virus attacks different parts of the human body and wears a crown - the corona. There are two parts of people, on the left with the red background you can see people wearing masks to protect themselves and others trying to stop him with shots of medicine and vaccines. On the right side there are the people who died from the Corona disease. You can also see a dragon trying to fight the incarnated virus, symbolic for China where the disease first appeared. This intense and dynamic painting by the Italian artist Alessandro Siviglia was created in February 2020 when the virus started to arrive in Italy. It was still at the beginning and nobody ever imagined the great impact it had on social, health and economic conditions worldwide. This pandemic has become part of world history and will not be forgotten easily.
