ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Cosmic Cloud" is a very atmospheric painting, done as a diptych. There are two canvases, each is 90 cm x 30 cm. In inches the work is 23.6 x 35.4 x 0.6 if both canvases are hung directly next to each other without any space. The two canvases can be hung directly next to each other without a space or with a little space inbetween. The colours are blue, green-turquoise and yellow with touches of orange and a bright green! The original artwork is a touch lighter than on the image you see. I used spray paint, acrylic, graphite and charcoal as well as some acrylic marker. I added a fixture on the back of each canvas so the work is ready to hang with just a nail. Please contact me if you have any questions about this artwork.

ARTIST STATEMENT: Life is a largely subjective experience; but that subjective experience is my bridge to the objective world. And it’s this synthesis of the two that I am trying to capture. INSPIRATION AND PROCESS: I love experimenting and want to give my works an individual expression. I have two lines of work: I love painting almost (but not quite) realistic, somewhat utopian, nature images and on the other hand I really enjoy doing non-objective/abstract art. I am inspired by the beauty and power of natural phenomena, the mystery of nature, its colors and forms. Every painting is a one-of-a-kind work in which I try to combine feeling and thought. I work most of the time with acrylics but I also mix acrylics with other media such as oil pastel, soft pastel, spray paint, graphite and charcoal or ink. All materials I use, if canvas, paper or paints are of artist quality.
