About The Artwork

I wanted to experiment with a 3 layered painting on canvas, each layer separated from the one beneath it with the top layer manipulated to produce depth and give the painting a sculptural quality. A hole in the top layer and a rent in the ice suggest a deep crevasse in the glacier.
