About The Artwork
After a very drab winter, the pile of bright yarn and crochet on my floor felt so refreshing to look at! I also enjoy the contrast between the stark white background and the bright mess of colours and shapes. I used fairly thick glossy paint so there is an almost tactile juicy look to the painting, very luscious. The painting is on gallery wrapped canvas, with edges painted, and wire on back, ready to hang as is, no frame needed.

What surrounds me influences what I paint. After having spent 5 years in a prairie town, and even a studio surrounded by farmland and huge sky, I have recently returned to Montreal, where the busier streets and mounds of snow are my current strongest influences.
