"Crossroads of Courage" is a striking abstract work from Yehor Lemzyakoff’s "New History of Ukraine" series. This acrylic on canvas piece, measuring 70 x 70 cm, vividly captures the spirit of resilience and determination. Dominated by the national colors of Ukraine, blue and yellow, the painting’s dynamic, intersecting lines symbolize the complex and interconnected paths of the nation’s journey through challenges and triumphs. Inspiration and Intent: Inspired by the steadfastness and bravery of Ukraine amidst its recent history, this artwork reflects the ongoing struggle for sovereignty and peace. The bold lines and splatter technique evoke the chaotic yet purposeful movements of a nation in flux, celebrating the unyielding courage of its people. Artistic Choices: Lemzyakoff employs a minimalist yet powerful color scheme to highlight themes of unity and resistance. The texture and depth created through the splattered acrylic paint technique add an energetic dimension to the canvas, mirroring the tumultuous yet hopeful path of the country. Physical Details: This artwork is notable for its rich textures and the resilience of its acrylic medium, ensuring that the vibrant hues and impactful visuals endure. The painting is ready to hang, making it a poignant addition to any collection.

Once I was asked: “What is the truth?”. I did not understand the question. What is art? Through our lives we, in one form or another, are trying to discover the meaning of our existence, to satisfy our curiosity and achieve satisfaction through such achievement. It is one's inevitable limitations and inhibitions which frustrate such efforts but which also frequently drive people with artistic spirits to create outside their comfort zone and in some extreme cases leads even to their destruction. I would like to see my art as an unrestricted journey of self-discovery and exploration in search of elusive answers to those and other questions which are often more difficult to understand than to answer. I remember once, my emotional, and admittedly elaborative art expose about my paintings, was abruptly interrupted by a friend, and an artist, saying: “You should not explain the art. The true art speaks for itself”. Forget prolonged explanations. Art is an expression in itself. Just as much as reality is just merely our perception. Is it not?
