Art Description

Painting: Oil on Canvas.

The crow is the bird of myth and legend. In Greek mythology, ravens are associated with Apollo, the god of prophecy. They are said to be a symbol of good luck, and were the god's messengers in the mortal world.

As a Welsh artist the crow also has more local representations. Brân the Blessed (Bendigeidfran or Brân Fendigaidd), literally "Blessed Crow") is a giant and king of Britain in Welsh mythology.

Regardless of their mythical status, the crow is a magnificent bird. Incredibly intelligent and full of character. Kings, giants, good luck, and messengers of the gods all wrapped up in one beautiful bird.

Painted using Winsor and Newton Artists's oils, on stretched canvas and protected with Winsor and Newton UV protective satin varnish to ensure that you can buy with confidence knowing that this painting will last.
