Curious Baby Cat Painting

I make art to dialogue. It's my way of responding to the songs that touch me, to the stories I read, as well as to my life events, loves and losses. Being a person that can spend weeks without leaving home, what inspires me the most is music, movies and literature. I'm fascinated by the still, silent and lonely act of painting in an era when photography is so accessible and time seems to go by so fast . I'm always experimenting with new techniques and subjects. So far I've worked with woodcuts, acrylic and oil paintings, and ceramics. As far as painting, I enjoy making portraits of the cats that surround me, and of strong and inspiring women. I was born and raised in Florianópolis, an island in the south of Brazil, where I still live.
