About The Artwork

This series of 3D designed flowers are the evolution from my Quadriflower Collection. A Quadriflower is a flower represented by no more than 4 concentric squares of different colours. The colours are what make these flowers recognisible and unique. The idea of the quadriflower was to catch the essence of a flower by looking at it from the front. With the 3D series, I imagined a composition of these quadriflower. This is my representation of beautiful yellow daffodils.

Born and raised in Italy, I moved to the UK in 2016 and living in London since 2018. I am a self-taught painter and a digital artist. My view of the world is through a geometric filter where everything can be represented by a specific shape, made only of a combination of straight lines. My work is characterised by the absence of curved lines or circles which represent for me, my distinct character trait of being straightforward and direct. Bold blocky uniform colours are another element that features prominently in my works. Lines are usually used to confine these colours and give them specific and exacting presence within each artwork. My work goes from completely abstract pieces to more graphic illustration subjects in an eternal battle between my need to push the boundaries of my creative process and a deep-seated rationalism that provides each artwork a structure and precision of elements that ensure an intense attention to detail. “Giumetric” is another facet of my work, that is characterised by creating a figure from the intersection of straight lines. My exacting creative standards dictate that everything is represented and re-interpreted with this concept in mind. In this process each line has a meaning and a function. Every piece or image then becomes two dimensional. Lines are added and removed only where necessary. They are adapted and inclined in order to find the right balance and harmony of each work that is reflected by the creation of specific intersection points. This extends to my range of giumetric portraits that are geometric halves linked to a real image of the sitter using only straight lines.
