About The Artwork

‘Daisies (Everything is Spoiled in this World)’ Oil and silk 130 x 210cm The title is inspired by the Czech New Wave film Daisies, made avant-garde through the depictions of an absurd, surreal and ridiculous world formed through the distortions of the protagonists, two young women who have decided that since the world is spoiled, they will be spoiled too. They journey through a series of destructive pranks to rebel against a materialistic society, their obscene behaviour revealing the entrenched indecencies in our world.
