About The Artwork
"Daisy Chain," is my version of an abstraction of a tradition called a "daisy chain," a phenomenon where multiple female participants form a circular formation, permitting each participant to both give and receive simulation. The paint colors have chromatic contrasts that are based on the presence of different shades of intense colors: blue, green, orange, and yellow. I chose heavy paint lines to create a wide range of rhythms, and confer dynamic shapes that hopefully stimulate the viewer's feeling toward this work. I was inspired by Keith Haring style of line pop-art.

I strive to paint from my gut a surge of body parts that are both on the fringes of figural and unknowing. At a gaze one can feel as if peeking into a secret message of a sexual ritual. Within the erotic body parts (dominated by females,) I paint for the mystery of lines, color, shapes to convey a climax of thought. The grotesque prevails despite the sensual nature of my paintings, there is the expressive, unsettling, and visceral confirmation that the subject matter of a given work is typically intended to unsettle the viewer while making it their own visual.
