Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

The raw power of combustive glory careening in flaming destructive accelerative force down the highway of Life. The eternal friction between primal elements that tear at us, driving us onward from conception to the uncertain dream of self-manifest destiny.

A need for freedom from my own pedantic inclinations have been unleashed upon the canvas with the exclusive use of palette knives. A hard break from the precise control of detail orientated brushwork that has been my primary focus regarding painted works. Pitted with subtle variation, this work marks a step closer to my destination, lacking the smooth surfaces of the past. Life is not a smooth surface on which we ride eternal, and this is something I wished to emphasize here on Damascus Road.

Damascus Road.
