Maks Egorov (Russian: Максим Егоров; born 23 June 1988) is a Russian artist, who spent 5 years in China. His works stretched across many genres, such as fauvism, surrealism, expressionism, cubism, and suprematism. He seeks to depict not objective reality but rather the subjective emotions and allegorical images based on influenced by his personal feelings through the color and form. Maks Egorov was born in the industrial capital of Russia, Yekaterinburg city in 1988. His childhood was during the collapse of the Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union collapsed, most people were excited but unprepared for the challenges, including his family. By the age of 13, Maks finds the support of a school art teacher, thereby he gets the opportunity to participate in urban art competitions. For several years he successfully won competitions that helped him gain confidence as an artist. Despite the first successes in the artistic career, mental experiences did not fade away, which led to suicide at the age of 16. Several clinical deaths during the week in a coma. Doctors managed to save him. After a few months of rehabilitation, Maks opens his first solo show, where he demonstrates artworks in different techniques and is mainly devoted to the topic of life after death. Then he gets a lot of attention from the local media. For several years after the coma, Maks Egorov actively opens a series of solo shows in his hometown of Yekaterinburg.
