Dark on the Moors Painting

Born in Staffordshire, raised in Cornwall and living by the Peak District, it’s safe to say my inspiration is the great outdoors. As an art psychotherapist and eco therapist, I use the great outdoors to process my complex thoughts and as such I paint the emotion that I see in the landscapes around me. I don’t want to just capture the view but to capture the feelings that large landscapes can evoke. I have an expressive style, sometimes more abstract and sometimes a touch more realistic. I layer materials, paints and use a variety of expressive techniques to create textures and depth.
