About The Artwork

This is one of my responses to Titian's wonderful paintings about the story of the huntress Diana, which hangs in the National Gallery, London. It is about Diana's revenge and Actaeon's death and it is full of the sense of woman power which is particularly relevant today. It is one of Titian's last paintings and probably unfinished. I like the open lively brushstrokes and feel it is ripe for reinterpretation today.
