Sam Bergwein, born 1996 in Stuttgart, Germany, is a contemporary artist. His work is influenced by architecture, color compositions and nature. Sam´s creative journey began at a young age in his mother's studio when he studied her painting process and began experimenting with different materials. The realization that raw materials and creativity can result in something unique and beautiful inspired his passion for art. Currently living and working in Stuttgart, Sam Bergwein finds inspiration in his surroundings and the diverse experiences that have shaped his artistic vision. In his work, Sam deals with different states of consciousness and tries to transfer them visually onto the canvas. Each series is created through different emotional situations and phases of life, which he uses as a therapeutic tool in the creative process, focusing on abstract color compositions and impressive haptic surfaces. He uses his technical skills in multiple layers to achieve a harmonious and at the same time exciting result. He works mainly with tools such as palette knives, scrapers and sponges. In an effort to be close to his materials, he often works with his bare hands. The success story of the artist from Stuttgart began around two years ago after he published his works for the first time. Before that, he had spent more than five years focusing exclusively on himself and his artistic development so that he could concentrate fully on his work. Since then, things have gone very well for this exceptional young talent, as he constantly delivers and reinvents himself in his series. In a very short time, everyone could see that here artistic and technical skills meet a very innovative and harmonious understanding of color, translating his critical themes onto the canvas in an incredibly smart way and making the viewer think in his very own way. What is very interesting about his work is that at first view it seems difficult to describe his series in one style. However, after closer observation, the viewer can recognize which movements and subjects run through his entire artistic portfolio and an individual signature becomes clear.
