Hello, my name is Alan Coelho, and I currently live in Florianópolis. My journey into the art world began very early, at the age of 12, with ceramics, where I fell in love with the transformation of clay and the expression that modeling provided. Over time, this passion expanded, and I migrated to painting, focusing on acrylic on canvas, but always seeking new possibilities in my work, mixing techniques, styles and materials. For me, art has always been a way to explore and express the deepest feelings that I carry. It has never been just an aesthetic pursuit, but rather a reflection of particular moments in my life. My works are often guided by my emotions, my experiences, and moments of introspection. Each piece I create carries a part of me — be it joy, frustration, fear or celebration. Art has been the channel for understanding, processing and externalizing these emotions. Throughout my career, I have realized that the creative process is not linear. It is unpredictable, just like life, and it is this unpredictability that attracts me the most. I like to play with this fluidity, mixing contrasting elements, creating layers that overlap and, sometimes, even clash. This allows me to experiment with different ways of seeing the world, transforming sensations into something visually expressive, and touching the innermost being of those who observe it. Currently, my art continues to evolve, transforming itself along with the moments I live. Each work I create is part of a path I am following, a continuous journey of discovery. I increasingly seek a sincere and deep connection with my own essence and, at the same time, with the public. Art has this power to connect us in a unique way, and it is this exchange that moves me to continue creating.
