Like Victor Hugo said:"There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come" That is exactly what Katrin can refer to. “At some point, shapes, colors and motifs have to come out of me and be converted into a work of art. Most of the time I only recognize what has been slumbering in me for so long after I have finished the artwork. ” Katrin Jäck is a self-taught artist. Born and raised near Frankfurt, Germany Katrin has been working intensively on the art form Stencilart since 2012. Through constant "try and error" she taught herself the style. The hand-cut stencils, which are created beforehand with the help of the PC, are mostly created from self-made photos. This art form enables her to display photo-realistic motifs in a modified form. No matter whether abstract art, street art or sketches and drawings, Katrin always combines and reinvents her works of art. Individual scenes and images are taken out of their actual context and newly combined and brought into another sometimes unexpected context.
