ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My sister, living in a modern metropolis, sent me a photo of a deer in her back yard. I thought there seems to be a natural progression towards wild animals and their inclusion in "our world" as human encroachment forces us closer, which, at on time we to were so much apart of this world called nature. Now, so far removed the only way to see an animal is to visit a zoo. So, in this body of work I will start to explore this idea, and will call this series of various deer: "Civilization Approaches".
