"Departure Hall" brings to mind the River Styx–a mythical and mystical place, not quite of our world, but not entirely foreign, where great mysteries happen just beyond the visible. This painting came to me while I was lying in the dark at night, having just put my children to sleep. I was thinking about water, about being carried away, about going through portals, and about weightlessness. - Painted with handmade watercolors on heavyweight cold pressed Arches paper. Can be framed, quote available on request.
