Enrique Pichardo's Desfile de gala is a 240x170 cm work, created in acrylic on canvas. In this dark canvas, a series of abstract characters stand out against a black background, with white being the only other color present. The choice of white as the only contrasting color highlights the presence of the abstract characters, creating a striking and striking visual effect. The sharp outlines and defined shapes of the characters contrast with the darkness of the background, creating a sense of mystery and drama in the composition. Despite the abstraction, the characters seem to have a tangible presence and suggest action or movement. The simplicity of the black background allows the characters to be the main focus of the work, while the white brings luminosity and depth to the canvas. In "Gala Parade", Pichardo manages to create an enigmatic and captivating atmosphere, inviting the viewer to explore the world of these abstract characters and to reflect on the meaning behind their forms and expressions. The combination of colors and shapes creates a unique and evocative visual experience that stimulates the imagination and awakens deep emotions in the viewer.

The Mexican plastic artist, Enrique Pichardo, has more than 30 years of experience as a painter. His technique and style combine artistic influences from other countries with the traditional Mexican influence. In his own words, he defines his art as naive expressionism. The plastic work of Enrique Pichardo has more than one aspect. On the one hand, he creates works that are densely populated with shapes, figures, and colors. On the other hand, he has abstracted urban landscapes with a neutral color palette that recreates everyday situations. However, the special characteristic that maintains the cohesion of all his pieces is the conviction of approaching art through a return to his childhood and his first traces. Paint like a child, paint with more expression than technique, paint with feeling over technique. The painter seeks the skillful strokes of his inner child to carry out each of his pieces.
