This series is inspired by the depths and hidden meanings in the exchange of flowers. Why we give flowers and what that act says. I was reminded of a moment at the store when a young man bought some flowers and the cashier asked "What did you do wrong?" The man responded, "Nothing." We have many interpretations as to why someone might buy another flowers and that is where this series began. Flowers are sensual, alive, but full of our own preconceived notions hidden in the beauty of petals and stems. These are the expressions of those moments. My mission as an artist to balance our visual culture that often occurs through the flatness of screens. This balance that I seek is the reason that all artwork are originals and one-of-a-kind. I do not make reproductions of my work as I believe in the energy and life that exists in original art; the strokes, the textures, the final visual core.
