ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Migrants and refugees flee by necessity, to stay alive, and in the process, families are often separated, usually mother and children on one hand, leaving the father behind. I decided to portray the separation by a diptych, two pieces of one puzzle. But, keeping in mind, that one day this family will be reunited in a moment of joy and happiness. Because when the two pieces are put side by side, the father's hand is reaching towards his family, to finally be reunited !
