Painting: Acrylic, Household, Gesso on Canvas.
The inspiration for this new series of works came from Covid-19.
We humans are deluded into thinking we are able to control everything. And this worldwide crisis - caused by a unicellular organism invisible to the human eye - turns our entire existence upside down. Suddenly we are made aware that nothing in this world grows infinitely - not even our economy, of which we have always assumed that it will. We are confronted with the fact that our previous interpersonal, ecological and economic values should be urgently reconsidered, if we do not want our entire existence to be thrown off balance.
All this led me to the present series of works "Disbalance".
