Slava Zhdanov was born on December 27, 1979, in Tashkent (Uzbek SSR). He has been fond of drawing since childhood. In 1992 his family moved to the city of Ulyanovsk (Russia). He graduated from Ulyanovsk Art School â„– 1. From 1997 to 2001 he studied at the Ulyanovsk Culture College as a graphic artist. During this period, he became interested in rock music and created a rock group "Stuffed Animals", which later became popular in the city of Ulyanovsk and the region. In 2001, it was awarded as the best rock band in Ulyanovsk. Several music albums were recorded. At the same time the first series of art works were created in the genre of avant-garde. For example, series "Roses" and "Love." In 1999 he was offered to participate in the series of avant-garde art exhibitions "Salon Secession" and then "Postmodern 2". These works were published in booklets and exhibition catalogs. After graduation in 2001 he entered the Ulyanovsk State University - the Department of Art and Culture, specialty - environmental design. In 2003 "Stuffed Animals" disbanded, but the music continued to be a priority and Slava recorded alone or invited Ulyanovsk musicians to create music albums. During his studies at the university he became active as a designer in the field of advertising. After graduation of the University in 2007 Slava went to Moscow as his ambitions in the sphere of creativity could not be fully realized in the province. In Moscow he began to work as an artist and a designer. First year in Moscow was not an easy one: hardship in rental apartments and rooms, loneliness and depression, all this influenced the creation of paintings "Orange Life." As he found love and home in Moscow, in 2008 he began to pour out all his artistic ideas to the canvas. So in early 2009, a series of nine paintings were written: "Orange Life" and the triptych "Waiting for the Dinner." Lately in July 2009 the triptych "Jokes of Chronos" was written specially for the contest of young artists in St. Petersburg "Benchmarks V", where the triptych took third place. Group exhibition of participants took place in St. Petersburg, in the hall "Manezh". The winter of 2010 brought an offer from the showroom "DreamPolice" (Moscow) and the gallery "Image - L" (St. Petersburg) to expose Slava's works.
