The movement of the dove and its control of the air that supports it, swirling, full of swirls and eddies, is made visible here, as the bird comes in to land among leaves. This drawing / painting on canvas is drawn in ink and watercolour: it's is at once muted, vibrant, and translucent, full if movement yet frozen in time. Now, in retirement and long out of monastic life, his artistic practice has greatly expanded, including glass sculptures and canvas works in private and public collections worldwide, mostly to commission.
