Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Oil, Pastel on Canvas.

Painting for me is a way to share a time of vibrancy and energy. `To see depth and beauty in a moment.

This painting was made in layers, the first working wet on wet, blending muted tones, creating broad energetic marks, later accents and depth came adding oil paints and oil bar to bring colours to life and pull the eye in through layers to the centre of the painting, a feeling similar to entering a new vibrant city, where movement is all around.

My painting style is inspired by American Abstract Expressionist painters such as Philip Guston and Arshile Gorky. The process of layering also reminds me of the large scale graffiti painting I used to do in London and Berlin.

I use quality materials and seal with a matt varnish which ensures the long life of the work.
