ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this piece I wanted to push the popular style of acrylic pouring to a more intentional and precise direction. I was especially excited to utilize Black 3.0, the blackest black on the market. In person it is extraordinarily matte thus holding the viewers eye much longer. I was inspired by my fantasy of life on Mars and what a quiet clear night might look like. I loved making it and I hope it gives a sensation of both wonder and ease in you. This painting took four days of masking, layering, and drying. I believe it is ideal for a smaller room at home, an office, or a study.
