About The Artwork
This work was inspired by decorative design on a duvet cover. If looked at it with almost closed eyed, I saw land forms. I sketched simple landscapes from these then painted them using a limited palette of mainly earth tones. I hope the viewer gets a feeling of 'otherness' from this painting. It's a kind of shamanic landscape - straight out of the imagination.
