The personal creative works of visual and literary artist Jenae Ann. Born in San Diego, California and raised primarily in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jenae began develop a fascination for working with various mediums of expression at a very young age and her abilities were highlighted and nurtured early on. From winning her first showcase in elementary school to creating within the home, her passion is intuitively led. “I like to combine different mediums and my collections of work are created from natural storylines that come about in my life. I wouldn’t place a true title on my genre of work because it’s truly dependent on the project. I work with visuals. I work with my own interpretations. There are days where I'm more technical and days where I am not. The majority of my work comes together as a collaborative effort between mind and spirit. I'm also a writer and brand developer. Previously, a dj, I still work with sound. There are seasons when the inspiration flows vividly and wildly. There are seasons that call for me to be more grounded and be receiving of my own personal changes and challenges. I believe I was gifted with the ability to communicate with others in many ways and my more formal works are my acceptance and release in taking responsibility for my role in bridging the gap between that reality. Whether I'm in the home studio, office or on a platform, there's a certain peace that comes from being honest in my expressions. Seeing my visions through are for the pleasure and interpretation of others. I've grown to have a sound sense of who I am as an artist and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to pursue the preservation of my work."
