Milena Kosturkova was born in 1976 in the city of Plovdiv. He lives and studies in the town of Parvomay, after which he settles again in Plovdiv for 11 years. 7 years ago, love brought her to Pleven, where she lives to this day. From a child she draws and even then she realizes that this is her path. She wants to study, but her parents have a different opinion. She graduates from a banking business that she doesn't like and never practices. In the end, her creative vocation prevails in her life, to which she is fully committed. Through her works, she expresses her essence and communicates her feelings to the audience, which feeds her and makes her happy. Her paintings are in galleries in Pleven, Plovdiv and Varna, as well as in many homes in Bulgaria and abroad. She participates in general expositions in the country, and in March she is to make her first solo appearance. Every year during the summer season she lives and works in Paris, which has a special place in her heart. In the French capital, she draws mostly watercolors. Beautiful landscapes and still lifes of Milena Kosturkova were part of the artistic atmosphere during the presentation of the new book of the poetess Vesela Dimova "When the air is moon", which took place on January 10, 2020 in Pleven and was organized by the Association "The Spirit of Pleven ". When was your love for drawing? It became quite spontaneous, at about the age of 7. I didn't stop drawing - at home, at school, everywhere. At a later stage in school, I stood out - I did the best in the class, I participated in school competitions. Before graduating from high school, I began to draw more professional materials. I was even in a community with other Plovdiv artists, who gathered in one studio and painted on different topics, and we had a model. It was all a pleasure. I framed the completed paintings and left them at home. Only a few works were requested from a gallery that sold them. After I graduated, I did different things, but I never stopped drawing. In the last 8 years, maybe, I started to become more professional in painting because I realized that I wanted to do just that.
