ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I found the Portrait at a yard sale in Washington, much like many of the people in my portraits. His long face drew me in and although I don't actually know his story, I can imagine what life would be like in the 1940's, when the photo was taken. I imagine the life that he led, his family, his home. I have a great hope that he was a kind man, although maybe like most of us had a bit of trouble in his soul; thus the halo, an homage to the possibility that he was a good and righteous man.
