When I walk in nature I get drawn into the texture of tree bark, the vein patterns of a leaf, the sound, but also sense there is more it is the pulse of life. The earth inhales and exhales. Every Tree has an individual character. In mythology every tree is inhabited by spirits. Every house is. How complex is the human soul? Gabriele Höhne grew up in the “Ruhr Valley” in Germany as it transformed from polluted heavy industrial centre to post-industrial cultural hub. After graduation Gabriele worked as an Art Director in advertising and interaction design. Her artistic soul found home in London where she took up painting to, as she puts it, let her spirit fly. Her work explores dreamworlds, perception of life events, and personal emotions
