About The Artwork

I had walked by this scene in New York's East Village and taken some reference photos, as I was attracted to the collection of various old items...I later added in some random extra items that had meaning to me. Unlike most paintings, there is no central subject. It's supposed to feel like an actual visit to an antique shop where the wall of stuff hits you at once, and then you start to investigate and discover items one at a time. Spoiler alert...below is a list of some of what's there, so don't read if you want to explore by yourself. Among other things, you can find: • a bowling pin man • an Evil Knievel lunchbox • a tiny robot • Kiss LP • dartboard • cribbage board • toot-a-loop radio • two rotary phones • a tiny robot • an iron • a stereoscopic 3D camera

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I'm a fine artist and illustrator, trained at Pratt Institute by both the faculty and my amazing fellow students. While attending college, I fell in love with Brooklyn which became my home for several decades and the subject of the majority of my paintings. Currently, I'm living in Montclair, NJ with my wife and two young daughters. I'm drawn to urban landscapes, although my love of nature and diving is also beginning to seep into my work. I become drawn to certain scenes or images and believe there is a universal appeal in the specific. I attempt to convey the mood and emotional connection that attracts me to a specific subject and through composition, color and specific elements and details, hoping this resonates with the viewer. Each image presents its unique challenges, which always keeps the process fresh.
