This serie was primarily inspired by the ancients whose power was represented in banquet and themselves in paintings, I believe we are in the same process of representation with the technology that allows us to show others what we are able to eat, to spend, and the capacity of distinguishing. Appropriating foreign cultures and making food another social status. This painting is made on a large scale to represent its monumentalism and beautifulness that we are capable to see in fish and rice.
