About The Artwork

Medium: Acrylic on canvas | Year created: 2020 | The picture is stretched on a wedge frame and is delivered flat in a safe transport box | ready to hang | This picture is not framed. - If you want to frame the picture, I recommend a shadow gap frame. But actually this is not necessary, the edge of the picture is painted in neutral color (in this case in white) | for more picture details look at my website http://www.art-spirit.de | for a look at my painting archive: https://pinterest.com/lauer9287/ This picture is typical of my way of working, it has a lot of structure and therefore a lot of depth. Important in my way of working is already at the beginning of the primer of the canvas. Here begins my painting and assumes a first basic form. Layer by layer, applied with a brush or spatula, a desired palette of colors and textures is developed. By using the spatula as the most important or authoritative tool comes the final work. In this work, the technique of watercolor comes in the combination. Every look at my pictures should open up new worlds.

CREATING SOMETHING NEW. No more interpretation or reconstruction of our environment. Action painting or abstract expressionism is abstract painting in its basic form. Contrary to classical- realist painting my work is characterised by an "experimental reality", which we can neither to see, nor describe. Using the methods of construction and destruction, in which coincidence is mixed in, makes it possible for me to create a picture which is not predetermined. Painting becomes an analogy for the uncertain, the unknown and the incomprehensible. Good pictures are incomprehensible. Creating unintelligibility completely excludes producing any old nonsense because any old nonsense is always understandable as such.
