About The Artwork
Australian Impressionist Plein Air landscape painter from the 40s, Fred Williams inspired me to travel to the Dandenong Ranges outside of Melbourne in Australia, to paint the land he painted. My experience painting the land is piqued with the intense moments when the sunsets and the sky tints everything with a pinky hue. I also notice incidental pinks in the grasses, bark of trees and in the leaves and foliage across landscapes.
