About The Artwork

This abstract landscape began with some favourite colours of mine, corals, pinks and greens. I have painted with the emotion I feel of beginnings and newness, the wanting to hold to a moment of promise and anticipation. As I painted, I felt the earth and sun connection, and how all living things thrive on this, the cycle of receiving the light. My paintings at the moment keep steering me to the landscape and the connection I feel, which comes from my deep emotional concern for the earth. Gallery wrapped canvas sides are painted white, there is no need for framing. I have signed the front and back of my artwork and it is wired ready to hang. I have painted with a mixture of student and quality artist acrylics on a Liquitex Basics deep edge canvas. The painting is sealed with a matt fixative. Thank you for viewing my work.

Feelings of Painted Poetry....inspired by Nature. I am an abstract painter who loves nature, colour and design. It's always an intuitive and spontaneous process and very much about the process itself. Expressing what I feel, capturing moments of imagination, fragments of memories, I find happiness in the physical process of putting down marks and colour and letting the paint and colour direct me. It is a playful process in an exploratory way through many layers. I love drawing and scribbling as an added dimension of expression within my work and use charcoal, graphite, pencils or oil pastels for creating my personal marks. Painting is a healing and comforting act for me, and I paint for myself first. Some pieces are then ready to be shared and they go out into the world. My paintings teach me about myself and are like a mirror for my life and emotions. I strive to be an authentic painter, one who bares the soul through this healing art form. ā€‹ If a painting speaks to the viewer emotionally, my creative experience is completed on an even deeper level. My purpose as an artist is to create art that is alive. That is of serene beauty or with a touch of intrigue, perhaps lighthearted and joyful, maybe dark and deeply mysterious. Above all, I wish to create a sense of wonder, to invite curiosity and reflection. My artworks are feelings of painted poetry, created from pieces of myself and my personality. ā€‹ My artwork is purchased by collectors worldwide.
