Art as a simple act of painting. At the center of the work is the individuality of man, which brings his existence into play in a psychological and spiritual sense. The artist's and art's place of existence is the painting, a space free from any aesthetic convention, in which he conveys his own emotions and his own vital energy. Particularly explanatory in this sense is the name "Action painting", because it underlines the urgency of the action for the artist. "Action" not only in a motor, gestural sense, but also and above all in a psychological and existential sense. The artist exists not only because he represents something, but because he chooses to act. "Action" understood as the assumption of the risk of painting without a project, leaving it to be born and revealed at the moment. "Action", therefore, as a self-confirmation of the existence of the artist himself who tries to transmit, through, his instinctive, immediate and unrepeatable movement, his sensory dimension, his emotional and psychological state.
