Marcel Speet (Netherlands, 1951) is a contemporary visual artist actively working across various media, including paper, paintings, photography, mixed-media assemblages and installations. His creations draw inspiration from diverse sources such as visual and material experiences, nature, architecture, fashion, and his personal history. Personal artistic freedom stands as a core value in both his life and work. He spent several years at the Rietveld Academy Amsterdam in 1969. His artistic challenge lies in managing confusion through material, texture, and color. He challenges dimensions by disrupting, playing, and disorganizing to discover novel solutions. He lives and works near Bordeaux, France. ---------------------------------------------------- Most works are part of series, so if interested ask for more.
