Eternities gate Painting

The world is blind the darkness we see is a reflection of the collective consciousness humanity shares; art is the portal to the soul which makes us see beyond the limits of reality. My work explores the connection between hues and human emotions, the subconscious relationship of colours and their effects on how we feel, through the use of colour theory, highlighting the influence of each colour and their unique innate characteristics. Fyodor Dostoevsky once said “beauty will save the world” , my experience from art does not come from an academic basis but from my long battle with depression. I was not inspired, but I was in pain, the colours of my painting is what saved me, I bled on my canvas and that’s what brought life to my creations. Therefore the beauty I imbue within my art will always come from the light of beauty which saves the soul from the darkness engulfing the world. The main subject of my work will always be the beauty in the world, whether that be in landscapes, portraits, in whatever style I paint, they’re just the language I speak with, but the message remains the same for all, and that is “Love” , because in addition to what Dostoevsky said, beauty will save the world, but only love can change it
