Eugene Goodman's exemplary behavior in redirecting an angry mob from trying to infiltrate the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021 inspired me to make this painting. When I saw Eugene in TV videos, with that look in his eyes, without any kind of weapons at his disposal, redirecting possible murderous folks, some shouting racial slurs, from our American government doing its job, I was astounded and inspired to paint this heroic, brave policeman.
