ABOUT THE ARTWORK
'Event Horizon', 2018 is an intuitive painting and a contemporary outline of the 21st century notions of the sublime. The grandeur and terrifying nature of the abyss and the unknown / the vastness of outer-space is being explored through this romanticist expression, responding to our current scientific explorations and empirical discoveries. The mediums include oil, acrylic and wood. The wooden board is handmade and crafted by myself. The painting has taken me 6 months to complete.
