Every Piece Painting

A portrait of a couple is a compelling piece that is part of a larger series of portraits of anonymous people. As an artist, I have a unique approach to capturing these portraits by using Japanese paper to create a collage of fragments of people's conversations. This technique allows me to blend the visual and textual elements of my work, creating a dynamic interplay between the two. In addition to the combination of text and image, the framing of the picture is also a crucial aspect of this piece. By deliberately framing the portrait in a certain way, I aim to convey a sense of time and spontaneity. The references for photos were taken quickly and without posing, resulting in a natural and unguarded portrait of my subjects. The use of collage also adds an interesting layer of depth and texture, as the fragments of conversation intermingle and intersect with the visual elements of the portrait.
