Art Description

A Bold and calm painting inspire by Kew Gardens London seed collection and the economic's of Botany and the importance of wind blown seeds and the trading of them.

About
Observation and information that passes her way invade her paintings. She mixes static shapes with fluid movement, whilst highlighting the sublime of the tiny things or happenings around her. 'An interruption of space, as natural rhythms can be periodic or irregular overtime’ she says,

Berman uses various processes of applying intuitive layer of paint to construct or deconstruct by scrapping or wiping away to reveal a texture or a smudge that she sees something organic to work with. The next stage is planned as the rest of the image is based around those original left marks. Flat shapes of stillness invade whilst the underlays have movement.
