ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this piece I decided to write the first amendment of our constitution and create different patterns with the colors of our flag. The artwork is painted with different tones of reds, blues and white acrylics and spray paint.

Carlos Buitrago is a fine artist living and working in Los Angeles. He was born in 1972 in Bogotá, Colombia. He studied illustration at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. His illustrations have been published in different magazines and newspapers, and a lot of his work has been sold to private buyers. In 2011 he moved to Colombia, South America where he grew into a new style and grapped a better understanding of Colombian art, and his roots which you can see in all of his current work. Since moving back to Los Angeles from South America, Carlos is working to exhibit his work at different galleries and art shows.
