Exterior N°27 takes up the theme of the painting: Exterior N°25 - The Je-ne-sais-quoi and the Almost-Nothing. Where we had shades in monochrome, we have in this work a palette of bright colors with pronounced flat areas close to Pop art. Through its simplification, this painting becomes a sign. The subject of the painting presents, with a very tight framing, in the foreground a folding chair which makes the transition between the spectator and the painting, and in the background part of a round table, as well as a round shadow which seems to come from of an umbrella. We can imagine a café terrace in the sun with very marked shadows.
