FOR EXPORT

This special edition of FOR EXPORT was produced on special high quality Fabriano 400g / m2 paper (imported from Italy).
The back has my signature, my fingerprint in yellow, and the following sentence written in Portuguese:
"Thank you for trusting my work, we will overcome this difficult time!"
It is obviously a reference to this quarantine period that we are all living in. As an artist, I am also experiencing difficult times, since galleries and exhibitions are all still.
May this work bring light and hope wherever it goes!
It is also framed with a beautiful black aluminum finish.
There is glass on both sides.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Buyer must not attempt to remove glass, as it might damage the painting.

About this series:
For export emerged as a subserie of "A Dangerous Art", reusing what was left of large works.
It was a way I found to take advantage of the vibrant colors and the symbolism of the banana (something I talk about in other works) to make a work with lots of life and intense colors that illuminate any environment.
Through these works, I sought the best union between something apparently abstract and my vision of Brazil as a country, hence the name "FOR EXPORT".
Despite not being the world's largest exporter of bananas, Brazil is considered the "breadbasket of the world" in terms of food exports. There is also the issue, much criticized internally, that we export our best products and leave what is left for internal consumption.
In this way, I wanted to show through the colors all the Brazilian diversity that I imagine to be the showcase of my country. We are still seen as a happy country, despite all our difficulties as a nation. We export our best, and we want to be better.
Hope is the last to die, as we say here. And in this moment when the world is going through so many difficulties, I hope that the FOR EXPORT series will be a point of joy in whatever your new home is. Directly from Brazil, directly from my studio.

Muito obrigado (thank you, in portuguese)
