I hug the canvas before me, bow my head in reverence and kiss it. Then I start. FRESH is laboriously and distinctively textured. Each bump and groove spoke to me. I followed. As I intensively scraped at these layers I emulated the power and indiscriminate weathering of Mother Nature’s elements. I used my fingers, sticks, palette knives and large brushes. When I gaze into FRESH I think of morning dew in the grass. There is a flowing movement to this piece; I feel and see water as one of its key elements. In various lights this painting will reveal itself abundantly with iridescent blues worked into its many layers. I never tire of FRESH. Thank you for considering to collect my works.
