Painting: Acrylic, Pastel, Paint on Cardboard, Canvas.
This piece was created during a time of my life when I was really unsure of my future. As an adolescent I turned to drugs to cope with all of the things that began to fall apart in my life. I have always loved Hunter S. Thompson and his work with Ralph Steadman so I used his idea of the bird being the victim as my main though point. This piece took exceptionally long considering I was mostly drugged out to the point I could not create much but strange ugly lines to a canvas. This piece means a lot due to the time that I was going through but mostly because I destroyed most of the art I created on a rampage of frustration. Enjoy this ugly little bird and keep an open mind, love you all.
